Patrol and drug dogs in Yuba County provide an essential service to the citizens as well as deputies. The K-9s are an important deterrent to potentially violent situations. They are a valuable resource which provides a positive bridge between the community and the Sheriff's Department.
F2:
The financial impact of the dogs to the county is minimal when compared to the service they provide.
F3:
There is a lack of information regarding the history of the K-9 Unit on the Yuba County Sheriff's Department website. The Sheriff’s Department and the community could benefit by adding information to their existing Canine Program Division Overview.
