All requests for funding assistance must be health or fitness focused and the grantees must be non-profit.

RHCD has access to experts for processing grants, for example, County Counsel, the County Health Department and county and city fire departments.

The Board has determined there is no need to solicit or advertise for grantees since RHCD is well known in the south county. The Board meetings are open to the public; meetings are held monthly on the fourth Thursday at 10:00 AM and notice is placed in the local newspapers the third week of every month.
