The Riverside police Deportment hos been working in conjunciion with the Riverside County Emergency Medicol Services Agency (REMSA) since July of 2021. REMSA provided the policy ond guidonce regording the use of Norcon, ond the City hos complied by reporting oll uses of Norcon using REMSA's Noloxone Use Reporting Form. Recommendolion: R-l A comprehensive method should be creoted to collect pertinent Norcon dolo on o monthlv bosis from oll emeroencv resoonders ond/or medicol oroviders. This doio should include the number of incidents, dosooes by incidents. number of lives soved, ond number of fotoliiies. City response: The City implemented o Norcon reporting progrom with the odoption of Riverside Police Deportment Policy 368 - Use of Norcon (Noloxone) on July 29,2021 . (See enclosure.) Policy 368 requires personnel who odminisler Norcon to submit o REMSA Low Enforcement Noloxone Use Reporting Form to REMSA. This is the some REMSA form os refened to on poge l2 of the Report, "1. REMSA Policy 3309 Reporting Form Link". The City defers to REMSA on how to best present ihe doto submitted through its Noloxone Use Reporting Form.
