On of this Grand Jury report, the report reads, “While consolidation is something the Grand Jury generally advocates, in the case of the SLV, it should only be used if staffing or financial needs threaten the viability of one or more districts.” If staffing, financial or some other issue arises that causes one or more of the SLV fire districts to not be viable, this would be the time to consider consolidation of one or more of the SLV fire districts.
