Many social workers in Children and Family Services (CFS), law enforcement, officers in Juvenile Hall and victim advocates in the District Attorney's office are not implementing the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Protocol because they have not yet seen it. The Moraga Police Department recognizes that these individuals are victims and protects and serves them in a manner that is caring and trauma-informed. Additional in- depth training, facilities for temporary accommodations and a clear-cut plan of action at a countywide level could help to improve conditions for victims of CSEC.
