The Jury recommends that all County and City law enforcement officers who are trained in crisis intervention, in accordance with State guidelines, be encouraged to fully exercise the issuance of 5150 holds in appropriate circumstances. <b>Sheriff's Office Response:</b> Agree The Sheriff's Office agrees with this recommendation with the understanding that appropriate circumstances primarily includes those instances where the Mental Health Co-Response Team and/or Mobile Crisis Team is either not available or cannot respond in a timely manner.
