One of the problems we encountered was that the West Shores High School is located in Imperial County, but the school is under the “umbrella” of the Coachella Valley Unified School District in Riverside County and that the minor lives in Imperial County. The Director of Child Welfare and Attendance for the Coachella Valley Unified School District was informed of the situation and he stated he would look into the matter.
