During the inspection it was noted the dining area is understaffed by officers and can present a significant risk of violence towards inmates and staff.

During an inspection of the housing area, it was observed that the showers showed difficulty warming shower water.

Centinela State Prison is a well-run prison with no major issues discovered. ICGJ members were able to inspect the prison with no restrictions and the staff were professional and extremely knowledgeable.
F2:
The dining area, much like the Calipatria Facility, is understaffed staffed and pose elevated risk to inmates and staff.
F3:
The family visitation units are poorly suited in appearance for family visits with children.
F4:
ICGJ observed a maintenance list posted in A yard with items dating back to 2023, was unclear if these issues have been addressed but consisted of items of both plumbing and electrical nature.
