The Yolo County Sheriff's Office should continue to strive to find new ways to hire new staff so that the Walter J. Leinberger Detention Center can be opened. The Sheriff's Office concurs with this recommendation and shall continue to work closely with the Yolo County CAO's Office and the Yolo County Human Resources Department with this endeavor.

The Yolo County Sheriff's Office should continue to find a contractor to procure Record Management System/Jail Management System programs within the 2024-2025 budget year. The Sheriff's Office partially concurs with this recommendation. The procurement process will necessarily extend past the 2024-2025 budget year. The Sheriff's Office has enlisted the assistance of a consultant and understands the timeline to be approximately thirty months before the project can be expected to be completed.
