To be implemented over time Inmates are generally informed by medical staff about the use of generic medications. Including a statement to that effect will be added to the next printing of the inmate handbook. The responsibility of the quantity of meds on band is the responsibility of the medical staff. Every effort is made to insure that an inmate does not run out of meds.

Implemented General Services has been notified about necessary repairs to the jail facility. Those requests have been listed as capital assets and they are awaiting finding. Reminders are sent on a regular basis. Conclusion: School trained staff continues to be a problem as Deputies are working in the jail and they receive minimal training in their academy. Their training is acquired as a function of on-the-job training. Inmate care is still a primary consideration of this Department. My thanks to the Judicial Committee for their time and interest in the operation of the Sheriffs detention facility. Their insight and recommendations are greatly appreciated. The Trinity County Board of Supervisors response is as follows:
