This will be accomplished by amending the Department of Public Health policy and procedure manual section 3-100-002 “Legal orders for the control of tuberculosis.” The Department of Public Health will convene a working group for this task with representatives from the County Administrative Office, the Sheriff’s Department, County Counsel’s Office, ICEMA, and ARMC in an effort to coordinate and standardize enforcement, policies, and procedures for legal orders for the control of tuberculosis. There is no local cost impact to implement this recommendation. 09-03 The county will implement this recommendation. It should be noted that the incumbent director exceeds the minimum qualifications recommended by the grand jury. The minimum requirements for the County of San Bernardino Health Officer exceed those of the State of California for a county health officer. 09-05 The county will implement the recommendation by continuing to seek to expand health services with CBOs by sustaining our community partnerships as Federal and State funds become available. Additionally, the Department of Public Health will create a Public Health Community Caucus to enlist input from and foster communication with community partners concerned with the health of the public.
