R2
That the Lompoc City Council explore the option of contracting with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office for targeted support while the Lompoc Police Department returns to full strength. SBSO Response: The Sheriff's office north county co-response team assists the city of Lompoc when available and when requested through mutual aid. If Lompoc had their own designated team (through their department or contract with the Sheriff's Office) more resources could be dedicated to the geographical region which would improve response time, diversion efforts and services to the community.
