The Lakeport Police Department, the Clearlake Police Department, and the Sheriff’s Department have all had potential misdemeanor cases rejected by the District Attorney’s Office in 2023/2024/2025 due to expiration of the statutes of limitation following extended periods without a prosecutor’s review.
