City of Carpinteria Response to Recommendation 1: Will not be implemented. As a small city, Carpinteria collaborates with the County and other service providers in order to deliver various health and human services, including homeless services, to the Carpinteria community. Developing an independent City funded, managed and operated program that emulates the Homekey and Roomkey programs funded by one-time state monies, is neither financially feasible nor practicable.
