The MOSS should move swiftly to assist non-profit organizations to become a certified Foster Care Agency, and to recruit more licensed Foster Care Homes. Response and Actions Implemented: Modoc County Department of Social Services assisted our Community Based- Non-Profit Organization in their application efforts to become a Foster Family Agency (FFA). Support was provided in these areas; 1) Provided the Non-Profit with a Letter of Support in February 2015. 2) Provided the Non-Profit with funding for application and required trainings needed to become a FFA. It has been reported to MCDSS that the Non-Profit organization has been approved and should be active as a FFA within a few weeks. During the current 2016/17 fiscal year MCDSS and our new FFA will be conducting outreach activities to help recruit and train Foster Parents/Families. Through this process we should see an increase in Foster Parents/Families. I - .. l· ·-· - ::_ ..... --· - ··-- , .
