The City recommends that the Santa Clara Valley Water District take a proactive role in coordinating with cities, but that the process is collaborative and not "directed" by one agency. On behalf of the City of Mountain View and the Mountain View City Council, I would like to acknowledge the work of the Grand Jury and ensure the jurors that the City Council and City staff take the responsibility for sound and comprehensive sea level rise planning and adaptation seriously. The City's response to the Grand Jury's report was approved by the City Council for transmittal. The City appreciates the opportunity to respond to the Grand Jury's report.
