F-9 This request for extension applies to all Findings and Recommendations for both the City Council and the FFD. The City Council and the FFD will not have the opportunity to adequately review and discuss the Report at the length it desires to provide a response by August 31, 2022, respectively. Under Penal Code section 933.05(b)(3), the City Council and the FFD require further analysis on the Report to provide a useful response. Specifically, the City would need time to evaluate the fiscal impact(s) of the Report's recommendation and the extent that the report would impact the "hours, wages and working conditions" of the Fire Department and fulfill any meet and confer obligations that may arise due to the potential changes. City staff plan to review and analyze the Report over the coming months. The City Council's review and approval of the report will require noticed public meetings.
